Ender’s Game

Posted on November 3, 2020November 3, 2020 by Arnold Lau

I remember reading Ender’s Game many years ago, well before the movie came along. At the time, I must have been oblivious to its popularity among science fiction fans. The story appealed to me as an underdog facing progressively more impossible situations and overcoming them. The twist with the fact that he was playing more than a game was interesting. It was an enjoyable and easy read for me and I am glad that read the book because the movie version really cut out some of the great bits of the book, as most movies adapted from books do. There are enough interesting mini-stories in the book that I can imagine it would have worked out well as a TV series. I can’t say the rest of the series is that great, but I did some of Orson Scott Card’s other books which are entertaining.
